Research Fellow (Post-Graduate, NET qualified)

The selection method will comprise Personal Interview followed by Medical Examination as per post's category. The selection process would judge different facets of knowledge, skills, experience, expertise, aptitude and physical fitness. The candidates will be shortlisted for interview, based on their eligibility /experience in the relevant field. If sufficient candidates are not available for advertised post, then candidates with lesser service length / higher age / lesser experience/ relaxed qualification may be considered for short-listing in same post / appropriate lower post as per performance during interview.

Probable Salary Slab:

Rs 25,000/- per month* plus HRA @10% (Rs.27500 PM) for first1 years (as JRF)and Rs.28000/- per month plus HRA @10% (Rs.30800 PM for 2 nd year (as SRF, if candidate has similar experience) *May be revised subject to approval of SERB, New Delhi


Qualification:

Post-Graduation in Electronics/Electronics and Communication engineering/ Telecommunication/Physics/ Optoelectronics/ Photonics/Optical Communication and selected through a process described through any one of the following: a. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests-CSIRUGC-NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE The Selection process through National Level Examinations conducted by Central Government Department and their agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR,IIT, IISc, IISER etc.


Age Limit:

28 years (5 years relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/ female/Physically Handicapped Candidate)


Desired Experience:

The candidate having prior experience and research work in simulation optical fiber communication, photonics logics, optical access network design, optical simulation tools etc. will be preferred.

Candidate Expectations:

Candidate should have minimum 05 Years of Executive experience in the Track related work in Metro Rail / Railway / Railway PSUs / Metro Related Infrastructure Industries along with the following A. The candidates from Metro Rail / Railway / Railway PSUs: Candidates must be presently working in IDA Pay Scale of Rs. 50,000 - 1,60,000/- or CDA Pay Matrix Level 10 (7th CPC) OR have worked at least 03 years in the IDA Pay Scale of Rs. 46,000 - 1,45,000/- or CDA Pay Matrix Level 08 (7th CPC) as on closing date. OR B. The Candidates from Metro Related Infrastructure Industries: The candidates from Metro related Infrastructure Industries having more than 05 years of executive experience in track field and are drawing salary (CTC) of Rs.1,00,000/- per month (approximately) are eligible to apply. The candidates either from A or B should have experience of track laying and maintenance. He must have executed track laying works, track procurement, planning and maintenance, ballasted track, ballastless track, tamping operation etc.

Key Skills Required:

Excellent communication and presentation skills, analytical and interpersonal abilities, excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Working knowledge of Hindi also desirable. Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team. Formal Educational Qualification and experience requirement could be relaxed for exceptional candidates and for those with relevant experience Candidates found suitable for other positions within NHSRC would also be considered.
